Position: Policy Staff Counsel (Community)
The BCCLA’s Policy Staff Counsel (Community) position requires a talented person to carry through the policy reform and community engagement efforts of the association. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE permanent position.
The Policy Staff Counsel (Community) reports to the Policy Director and works closely with members of the policy department, comprised of another Staff Counsel position and articling/summer students. Ultimately, all staff are accountable to the Executive Director.

Position: Litigation Director
The BCCLA’s Litigation Director position requires a talented individual to lead the public interest litigation efforts of the association. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE permanent position.
A member of the senior leadership team and reporting to the Executive Director, the Litigation Director leads and supervises the work of the litigation department comprised of two Staff Counsel positions, a Litigation Coordinator, and articling/summer students

Position: Litigation Staff Counsel

The Litigation Staff Counsel reports to the Litigation Director and supervises the Litigation Coordinator. Position: 2022-2023 Articling Student
The BCCLA is seeking an articling student for the Oct 2022-October 2023 term. The student will work in the BCCLA’s core program areas: litigation, policy, and public legal education.
Under the supervision of the student’s principal, the BCCLA’s Executive Director, and working frequently with members of the Policy and Litigation departments, the articling student will assist and conduct litigation in a diverse range of practice areas including constitutional, criminal, and administrative law. The articling student will also undertake legal and policy research, draft legal and policy documents and engage in advocacy and education on behalf of the BCCLA
Articling Term: October 3, 2022 to September 29, 2023
