The BCCLA has actively advanced human rights and civil liberties for over 60 years, through litigation, law reform, community-based legal advocacy, and public engagement and education.

Our work focuses on change at the systemic level. This means we’re actively engaged in changing law and policy through strategic litigation, research, advocating to decision-makers, running public education campaigns, and developing legal information guides, factsheets, and workshops about your rights.

As such, we don’t offer direct legal assistance, representation, advice, or referrals.

If you’re looking for general information about your rights, check out our Know Your Rights database.

If you’re looking for assistance, legal advice, or representation, see this list of organizations and practitioners: Legal Support.

Although we appreciate and read every email, due to the large volume of enquires we receive, we are unable to respond individually to everyone who reaches out to us.
