In a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the BCCLA expresses our profound disappointment with the government’s failure to engage in mediated negotiations with Abousfian Abdelrazik and to to urge the governemnt to engage in good faith negotiations with him without delay. Despite the evident responsibility of Canadian officials for the serious human rights violations that he experienced while he was wrongfully imprisoned and tortured, Mr. Abdelrazik has received no compensation and no official apology.
