The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity to hear highlights of the BCCLA’s work over the past year and our key priorities into the months ahead. We will also conduct usual AGM business and Board of Director elections. 

As part of this year’s programming, we will be hosting a discussion on Policing Racialized Communities with BCCLA Community Lawyer, Dylan Mazur, Andrea Glickman from UBCIC, and Lama Mugabo from the Hogan’s Alley Society.

When: Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Registration and reception begins at 6:30 pm. Program begins at 7:00 pm.

Where: Alice MacKay Room, Vancouver Public Library Central Branch, 350 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC.

Board of Directors Elections

This year, members will have the chance to vote for new members of our Board of Directors electronically or in person by paper ballot. There are 11 nominees for 8 three-year term seats.

Advance electronic voting will open May 1st at 9:00 am and close at 12:00 pm (noon) on May 8th. Keep an eye out for our notice with your voting credentials!

If you prefer in-person paper voting, it will take place during the AGM on May 8th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

RSVP to make sure that everyone has a seat and we have the right number of ballots.

All members and members-to-be are encouraged to attend. Only members in good standing for 45 days prior to the AGM will be able to vote in the AGM and board election portion of the evening.
