Taking place in a number of communities in Northern BC, we will be providing a series of free workshops on your rights when dealing with police and what to do if your rights are not respected.
Have you ever wondered –
- What your rights are when stopped by police on the street and asked questions?
- When the police are allowed to search you, your belongings, your car, or your house?
- What your rights are when the police detain or arrest you?
- How you can make a complaint against a police officer who is not respecting your rights?
- Who is responsible for responding to complaints made against police officers who are not respecting the rights of the public?
- What happens when a person is seriously harmed or dies while in police custody?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, this workshop is for you!
