In a panel chaired by Martha Jane Lewis of the BC Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support, BCCLA Policy Director Micheal Vonn will discuss the subjects of surveillance and monitoring during the 24th John K. Friesen Conference “Harnessing Technology for Aging-in-Place.”
The conference will bring together a variety of speakers sharing insight into technologies available to adults aged 55+ who are in the midst of making choices about whether to age in their current homes or in alternative accommodations. The conference seeks to equip attendees with information about the services, options, protections and rights available to adults aged 55+ with respect to housing and support throughout their later years. Alongside Wendy Johnstone of the BC Caregivers Network and Al Jina, President of Park Place Seniors Living, Vonn will approach the subject of surveillance and privacy in the context of alternative living situations for aging adults.
