On March 19, the Terry Project will be hosting a BARtalk on the recently proposed anti-terrorism legislation, Bill C-51. The panel will introduce the issue to students and will discuss Bill C-51’s constitutionality and impact on the rule of law and internationally protected rights. The effectiveness of Bill C-51 in countering terrorism will be explored. As a part of the informal format, much of the time will be dedicated to audience questions.
The panel will feature BCCLA Policy Director Micheal Vonn.
The event will be taking place in Gallery Lounge, Student Union Building (SUB) at UBC from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. More information about BARtalks can be found here.
