2026 Annual General Meeting

Join us at our 2026 AGM to hear from BCCLA Board and staff about our work protecting civil liberties and human rights for all. We will be conducting usual AGM business and announcing new Board members. Instructions on how to join, as well as the AGM package (including any special resolutions), will be distributed to the membership at least fourteen (14) days prior to the AGM.

Board Election and Special Resolutions
The call for nominations to BCCLA’s Board of Directors is open to our membership from Friday April 10, 2026 until Friday April 24, 2026 at 5:00pm PDT. This year, there are 7 seats available on BCCLA’s Board of Directors with 6 incumbents seeking re-election. To be eligible, you need to have been a member in good standing before midnight December 31, 2025.
Nominations are encouraged and accepted from a diverse range of individuals and communities. Board Directors are not required to reside in BC’s Lower Mainland, as we facilitate distance participation in Board meetings. If you are interested in nominating yourself or someone else, you can view our nomination package or contact us and we will mail you a hard copy.
Voting for the BCCLA Board of Directors will take place online prior to BCCLA’s AGM. The voting period will begin Friday May 22, 2026 and will end on Wednesday June 5, 2026 at 11:59pm PDT. If there are no contested seats, all eligible candidates will be elected by acclamation.
Membership
Please note that our 2026 AGM is open to members only. All members are welcome. Only members who were in good standing before March 15th, 2026Â will be able to vote in the business portion of the meeting.
