The BCCLA and the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers (CARL) made this submission to the Senate Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology on Bill C-6: An Act to Amend the Citizenship Act and to make consequential amendments to another act.

In the submission we expressed our support for significant portions of Bill C-6, but called for an additional amendment that would restore the right to an oral hearing for people whose citizenship is being stripped under allegations of misrepresentation.
