Know Your Rights: The Arrest Handbook Workshop

This 90 minute workshop and optional 30 minute Q&A will help participants understand their rights on arrest, detention, and searches by police. We will talk about when you have the right to silence, what to do if you’re stopped by police, and discuss specific topics like racial profiling, bail, and mental health and the law.
This is a free event and all are welcome. No registration is required; participants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Refreshments will be provided by Wachiay Friendship Centre. Free copies of the Arrest Handbook will be available while supplies last!
