BCCLA to speak at rally organized by family of man shot by RCMP

The Executive Director of the BCCLA will be speaking at a rally being organized by the family of Alvin Wright. Wright was killed by the RCMP in Langley.

Wright had no criminal record. He was shot late at night in his bedroom by an RCMP officer. A Vancouver Police investigation of the shooting of the 22 year old recommended no criminal charges. The file is under review by the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner.

Where: RCMP Headquarters in Vancouver, 5255 Heather Street (at 37th Ave)

When: Sunday, November 13, 2011 meet at 10:00 a.m., speakers at 10:30 a.m.
