BCCLA, Pivot Legal Society, and BC Poverty Reduction, and an informal coalition of organizations and collectives in the DTES and Chinatown communities are sounding the alarm over the deeply concerning human rights implications of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 – which, so far, the City of Vancouver has refused to adequately address.

Tell Mayor Ken Sim, Vancouver City Council, and BC Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, and Sport, Anne Kang, to do everything in their power to ensure these recommendations are included in the plan and implemented this summer.
