In February of this year, Duncan RCMP officer David Pompeo was found guilty of aggravated assault in the 2009 shooting of Bill Gillespie. David Pompeo’s sentencing hearing starts on July 23, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the Duncan Law Courts. A lawyer for the BCCLA will be attending the first day of the hearing and will be available for comment.
