BCCLA set to react to VPD decision regarding Stanley Park assaults at press conference

The B.C. Civil Liberties Association will hold a media conference on Wednesday January 28, 2004 at 2 pm to react to the decision of Vancouver Police Department Chief Constable Jamie Graham regarding the discipline of 6 VPD officers who were convicted of assault as a result of actions in Stanley Park on January 14, 2003.

Where: Office of the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, Board Room 8th Floor, 815 W. Hastings St. Vancouver, B.C.

BCCLA President John Russell and Executive Director Murray Mollard will comment on Chief Graham’s decision and issues regarding the VPD policy regarding breach of the peace. The latter issue is related to the recent recommendation from Dirk Ryneveld, Police Complaint Commissioner for a public inquiry into the case of Frank Paul and the Association will comment further on that case as well.
