Canadian Bar Association Members are invited to attend this panel discussion on the recent companion cases from the Supreme Court of Canada clarifying the criminalization of HIV transfer (R. v. Mabior 2012 SCC 47 and R. v. D.C. 2012 SCC 48).
We will hear from crown and defence counsel as well as from the BC Civil Liberties Association’s Policy Director Micheal Vonn and discuss both the outcome of these decisions and how they affect the evolution of the law in this and similar areas going forward.
